Ron grew up in a Christian home; his family was very instrumental in him pursuing his PASSION for serving God in the music field. Ron began singing at the age of three, singing with his parents group called “The Good News Quartet” at Masonic Temple in Detroit. Ron was also a member of the Keynotes, who were blessed to appear in 1974 on the Grand Ole Opry.
In the years following Ron also sang with The Royalaires Trio, and then in 1996 became a member of The Chapels, who at that time were based out of First Baptist. The Chapels went on to record 10 CD projects, 2 DVD’s, performed the National Anthem at Detroit Tiger’s baseball game as well as being a part of Gaither Homecoming Videos.
It is a sincere privilege to serve God here at First and to be a part of this wonderful ministry here in Canton!!!
